To The Man I Love

Dana Kogad photographyTo the man I love,

Thank you for putting up with me during our awkward stage. You made my heart flutter, and I talked nonstop on our first date because I was so nervous.

Thank you for being there when I cry. It doesn’t matter to you if I’m crying over something silly, you still hold my hand and tell me that everything is going to be alright.

Thank you for being there when I laugh. There are a lot of shenanigans in my life, and I’m glad that I have someone to share the crazies with.

Thank you for singing and dancing in the car with me. I know whenever we see someone that we know while on the road, you get embarrassed for them to see you acting so silly, but I’m glad you sing and dance with me anyways.

Thank you for putting up with my dad’s corny jokes that no one understands. You are a trooper for listening intently to his stories and laughing at his jokes. After 22 years of hearing the same stories over and over and laughing at jokes that aren’t funny, I am worn out. Thanks for taking that burden.

Thank you for trying my mother’s cooking. She tries some crazy recipes sometimes, but you are always willing to try it; even though you are ridiculously picky.

Thank you for dancing with me in the kitchen. Sometimes it’s silly dancing, other times it’s slow dancing, but it’s always special. You are my favorite dance partner.

Thank you for the support you give me in all that I do. You give me the confidence to pursue my dreams and to become all that God has called me to be.

Thank you for taking care of me. No matter what’s going on, you always manage to not only meet my needs, but you always try to make me feel special by buying me little gifts to remind me that you are thinking of me.

And most importantly, thank you for loving me unconditionally. I know I can be crazy, and I know I can be hard to deal with, but that has never stopped you from loving me. I’ve never known a love like the kind you give me. When God said to love your wife as Christ loves the church, you took it to heart and practice it everyday. I could never thank you enough for the love you show me.

You are the greatest guy in the world, and I’m lucky to call you mine. Dana Kogod Photography 2
